Solution Overview
Core Value & Target Users
EPC contractors, solar developers, O&M teams and grid operators working on PV systems
Problem Solved
Modern PV systems operate at 1500V DC. Standard 1000V tools are insufficient — this solution provides CAT III 1500V DC rated instruments for safe and compliant operations.
Loss Prevention
IEC 62446 mandates IV curve testing for every string at commissioning — the only way to detect defects before handover and avoid costly warranty claims.
Business Value
Full IEC 62446 / IEEE 1547 compliance, faster commissioning cycles, and long-term O&M support that maximizes energy yield and reduces downtime.

Selection & Deployment
Selection Recommendations & Deployment Notes
1500V DC Safety
Modern PV systems operate at 1500V DC. Always use 1500V DC CAT III rated instruments. Never use standard 1000V tools on 1500V systems.
IV Curve Test is Mandatory
IEC 62446 requires IV curve testing for every string. It is the only method to detect shading, mismatch, or cell defects before handover.
Torque Compliance
Connections must be torqued to manufacturer specifications. Under-torque causes corrosion; over-torque cracks frames and connectors.
Annual Thermal Inspection
Thermal inspection of all PV strings should be performed annually to identify hot spots, degraded cells, and connection issues.
